On 19 July 1993, Kuok Brothers Sdn Bhd entered into a joint-venture agreement with Lee Rubber Co (Pte) Ltd, Selat (Pte) Ltd, Lee Foundation and Senja Permai Sdn. Bhd. to undertake the development of 2,953 acres of freehold land into an intergrated commercial, residential and light industrial area.
Taman Impian Emas is centrally located in the "Iskandar Malaysia", the South-East Asia's new Economic Zone.
Taman Impian Emas covers a land area of 2,953 acres, located at about 8 miles (13 km) North West of Johor Bahru City Centre.
