EUPE Corporation Berhad in Malaysia
Sungai Petani, Kuala Muda, KedahEupe Corporation Berhad was founded in 1986 by Dato’ Paduka Beh Heng Seong and Dato’ Wira Tajudin bin Haji Hashim.
Since that time, the company has become one of Malaysia’s most successful and trusted township developers, having constructed nearly 20,000 homes in the state of Kedah.
Eupe was founded in response to the Kedah State Government’s call to the private sector to undertake the development of low cost houses during the recession of the mid-1980s.
Its first project was the development of Taman Ria, with the construction of 3,376 homes, making it one of the largest mass housing projects in northern Malaysia at the time. It was quoted as a model township by then Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who visited in 1997.
This was followed by the 6,249-unit Taman Ria Jaya in 1988, as well as the Cinta Sayang development in 1988 – which pioneered the concept of living within golf greens.
